5 Branding Mistakes I See Karachi Businesses Make (And How to Fix Them)
After 20 years in graphic design, and 480+ clients later, I keep seeing the same branding mistakes repeat across businesses of every size. None of them are expensive to fix. Most of them are just overlooked.
1. The logo changes every time it's used
Different colors on the signboard, the invoice, and the Instagram page. If your logo isn't consistent everywhere, it doesn't register as a brand, it registers as noise. Fix: lock one logo file, one color code, one font, and use it everywhere without exception.
2. No real brand colors, just "whatever looks nice today"
Packaging in one shade of blue, the website in another, the boxes in a third. Pick two or three brand colors and stick to them across every touchpoint. Consistency is what makes a brand recognizable at a glance.
3. Treating social media like a photo dump
Random product photos with no consistent style, no captions that sell, no clear posting rhythm. Social media is a shop window, it should look intentional, not accidental.
4. Skipping professional product photography
A phone photo in bad lighting can undercut an otherwise good product instantly. Customers judge quality by the photo before they ever touch the product.
5. No content plan, just posting when someone remembers to
Inconsistent posting kills momentum. Even a simple weekly plan (what to post, when) beats sporadic bursts of activity followed by silence.
None of these fixes require a big budget, they require consistency and a plan. That's usually the actual gap, not creativity.
